Building female health literacy in sporting organisations

Why should your sporting organisation care about female health literacy?



Because our females have higher incidences of gender specific injury, higher drop out rates, menstrual cycle dysfunction, period pain which interferes with sport and life, higher rates of low energy availability, disordered eating and pressures to conform to the body ideal. And this is not an exhaustive list.



Why should you care? Because it’s your athletes, daughters, nieces and friends.


We build health literacy in sport to support females maintain long term health, performance and engagement in sport.
